I am a Senior Research Fellow at Research Centre for Public Health, Equity and Human Flourishing, Torrens University Australia. I completed my Ph.D. in Epidemiology at Curtin University, where I focused on studying the effects of prenatal alcohol and tobacco exposure on offspring mental health, using longitudinal data from the Raine Study in Perth, WA. Alongside publishing over 105 articles in top-tier journals, I also hold an Adjunct Research Fellow position at Curtin University, applying advanced epidemiological and statistical methodologies to investigate disease causation, particularly in the realms of offspring mental health and life-course issues. Before pursuing my Ph.D., I was involved in teaching, research, and community service at Hawassa University in Ethiopia.
