I am the Associate Dean for the School of Technology at Torrens University. I have been teaching and researching in IT and business for over 20 years across a number of universities and countries including USA, Singapore, China and Vietnam. My PhD research was in the area of Social Technologies and Digital Identity, and I have wider interests in the use of social media as an inter-cultural tool, Women in Technology, social value creation, blockchain, and the digital skills revolution (with particular emphasis on the SFIA framework). In 2015, I was awarded the KPMG Acclaimed Educator Award and in 2023 a Paul Harris Fellowship from Rotary International. I am passionate about student engagement and authentic student experiences. I believe my conviction for extraordinary student experiences and a research informed education is the best advantage we can offer the students of today for the workforce of tomorrow.
