Research Profile

Nick is the Associate Professor and Program Director for Masters of Global Project Management and Dual Master of Business Administration and Global Project Management at Torrens University Australia. He has been part of the leadership team at the Torrens University Australia since the University commenced in January 2014.

Nick has consulted organisations and published several international papers in the area of Project Portfolio Management, Digital Transformations, Organisational Agility and the implementation of Agile methodologies. He has implemented a Portfolio Management Framework, managed projects and assisted an organisation with the setup of a Digital Transformation Office.

With over 30 years of industry and education experience, previous senior leadership roles have included Digital Transformation, Portfolio Management, ICT Management and consulting roles for various organisations including IBM, Telstra, 3Pillars Asia Pacific, Business SA and the state government.

These roles have involved consulting on complex large scale digital transformations, capital program planning, development of strategic plans, organisational maturity assessments, setup of PMOs, enterprise architecture, change management and benefits management.

Projects have included the global roll-out of IBM’s expense management system into IBM China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and India; Being part of the IBM team for the Sydney 2000 Olympics, Telstra data centre relocations, implementation is major capital programs and various project assessments.

In 2013 Nick became the first in South Australia to become certified as a PMI Program Management Professional (PgMP), is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), AgilePM and Scrum Certified and Certified Management Consultant (CMC).

Currently he is a doctoral candidate for a thesis in the area of Supporting Project Success with the implementation of Project Portfolio Management.
