Research activity per year
Tarikul's research interests lie in the governance of international buyer-supplier relationships, circular economy, block chain, sustainability, innovation, organisational capabilities and internationalisation of firms via global value chains with a particular focus on emerging economies.
Dr Tarikul Islam is Senior Lecturer in International Business and Strategy within the Business School of Torrens University Australia. Prior to joining Torrens Business School, he has held academic position at Deakin, La Trobe and the Central Queensland universities in Australia. He has earned his PhD in International Business Strategy from Deakin Business School, Australia and an MSc in International Business from the Hull University Business School, UK. Tarikul's methodological expertise comprises structural equation modeling (SEM), systematic literature network analysis and case study. His research has received numerous international recognitions and funding including the Early Career Research Grant from National University of Singapore (NUS), Emerging Research Excellence Award from Torrens University Australia, and two competitive research grants. His works appeared in leading business and management journals including International Business Review, Journal of Business Research, Supply Chain Management: An International Journal, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Journal of Career Assessment, Society and Business Review, among others.
