This chapter draws together conclusions of how discourses and power relations shape camp counsellor employment. It weaves together this study’s findings in order to make comment on the complexity and multiplicity of emotion work of camp counsellors and the effects this has on their well-being. This is followed by considering ways in which a post-structural approach to camp management can contribute to ethical and reflexive employment practices. The chapter closes by considering the implications this study has for conceptualising camp counsellors, industry application and future research for camp, outdoor experience and broader leisure experience delivery.
