Abstract

This research identifies procurement concerns of software acquirers in local software industry in Pakistan and points out issues that are not directly addressed by CMMI Version 1.3 for Acquisition. The paper presents an exploratory and descriptive study of acquisition concerns based on direct interviews. The results of research mark various social issues as root cause of acquirer concerns for software acquisition.
