This chapter outlines the use of a collaboratory approach to facilitate transformative group work among a disparate group who did not necessarily know or work with each other prior to the group forming. The process design and implementation is outlined here rather than the results in terms of content, as it demonstrates an alternative use of collaboratory engagement as a stimulus rather than as the generator of the outcome itself.
