Abstract

This paper focuses on the importance of participation in class discussions to help improve confidence and communication skills in international students. Focusing on a participatory learning and teaching approach, this working paper using complete observer method confirms an increasing confidence and communication skills in international students who are otherwise reticent owing to their cultural and language barriers.
